LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol

LDL (low-density lipoprotein) is sometimes called "bad" cholesterol. A high LDL cholesterol level can raise your risk for coronary artery disease, heart attack, and stroke.

LDL cholesterol carries mostly fat and only a small amount of protein from the liver to other parts of the body.
