Dr. Jim Greenberg received his undergraduate B.A. degree in 1984 from Amherst College, his M.D. degree from New York University School of Medicine did his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Brigham & Women‘s and Massachusetts General Hospitals from 1988 to 1992.

Dr. Greenberg is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Ob/Gyn (ACOG), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the Society of Robotic Surgeons (SRS).
Location and Honors
For his entire professional career, Dr. Greenberg has practiced in the Boston area and served on the faculty at Harvard Medical School where he is an Associate Professor. In 2000, Dr. Greenberg was appointed the Chief of Gynecology at the Brigham & Women’s Faulkner Hospital and a Vice Chairman of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and has served in those roles since that time. In 2020, he received a Distinguished Clinician Award from Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Dr. Greenberg has been named as a “Top Doc” in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 by Boston Magazine.

In addition to his clinical and administrative activities, Dr. Greenberg has been actively engaged in clinical research as a physician-scientist throughout his career. Dr. Greenberg has co-authored over 100 publications, abstracts and videos on a variety of topics including minimally invasive surgery, fibroids, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, laparoscopy, suture materials, and many other subjects. Dr. Greenberg has also been active overseas doing global medicine work in Rwanda, Ethiopia and Qatar.
